Here is Rallie and he likes music, singing, and concerts. We meet in the caf\u00e9 of the National Portrait Gallery in the city, and it\u2019s empty when we arrive \u2013 it has just opened.<\/p>

Rallies company, Phaseliner, does home automation and really, if you think about it, this is very much related to music too.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Imagine your house or the place where you live as an orchestra of electrical devices as they are being switched on and off.<\/p>

There\u2019s the main light \u2013 ah, the reading light as you walk over to the sofa \u2013 the TV turns on \u2013 oh no, the oven is still on, let\u2019s turn it off \u2013 but no, you don\u2019t have to get up now that you have just gotten comfortable with a pillow behind your back. You can do that with an app on your phone.<\/p>

This app is what Rallie creates for his clients: His home automation company, Phaseliner, orchestrates all sorts of electrical devices into one single app.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The caf\u00e9 is flooded with the prettiest September sunlight. I wish I had an app to make the sunlight stay, but it moves fast, and the caf\u00e9 fills up quickly. Talking about light\u2026<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cLighting is usually the core of the app, and once the lights are connected, you can add other devices easily,\u201d Rallie explains.<\/p>

And now imagine: your office \u2013 a video conference will start in a few minutes \u2013 you go through your notes \u2013 no time for technical issues. But hey, don`t worry: with one button on your app, it all starts to come together like in the chorus of a song: the screen turns on \u2013 lights \u2013 audio \u2013 everything in a perfect symphony.<\/p>

Rallie explains: \u201cAll devices sync in one hit. If the ‘handshake’ between the devices failed, the entire system would fail and would have to be rebooted. So, to program that, the right timing is key \u2013 these are milliseconds we\u2019re talking about.\u201d In the end, it\u2019s all about being in tune.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
