Es gab eine Zeit in meinem Leben, in der ich so sehr den Drang hatte, vor der Arbeit in ein Café zu gehen, nur um das Gefühl zu haben, dass der Tag mir gehört. Cafés wurden für mich zu Orten voller Möglichkeiten, an denen ich voll von Hoffnung war, dass hinter der nächsten Ecke etwas auf mich warten könnte.

Why do we look so different in photos than the picture of us that we see in the mirror? Apart from the fact that we automatically adjust our facial expressions in front of the mirror so that we like how our face looks, it’s mostly because our face is being mirrored.

For the photo book ‘Anleitungen für Genießer’ (Instructions for Connoisseurs), my co-author and I invited people from Tübingen and the surrounding area to dinner and talked to them about what they enjoy and how they enjoy it.
