Why do we look so different in photos than the picture of us that we see in the mirror? Apart from the fact that we automatically adjust our facial expressions in front of the mirror so that we like how our face looks, it’s mostly because our face is being mirrored.
Someone didn’t use a smartphone for 12 years. Scientists found that his nervous system returned to a state most grown-ups don’t even know anymore: continuous presence! How beautiful.
For the photo book ‘Anleitungen für Genießer’ (Instructions for Connoisseurs), my co-author and I invited people from Tübingen and the surrounding area to dinner and talked to them about what they enjoy and how they enjoy it.
